So you say you want a five seven?
Got lots of ammo on there too, including 300rds of SS192 that dont even have a bid yet, 2 days left, 300bucks is the reserve.

Re: Gun Mounted Light w/ Laser - Review/Poll -updated 7.13.
You can add another to the poll. Laserlyte just came out with this low profile utilitarian-looking light. It's isn't cool-looking, which is a reason why I think the majority of people voted for the Viridian. http://www.laserlyte.com/products/fsl-3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It c...

Pretty consistent with your other results.
So it looks like all of the FN loaded 28gr OTMs of all flavors are all within about a 100fps window, from 2000-2100fps. No surprise then that they all seem to perform more or less identically against armor.

Re: SS195...
I wonder what would happen if we took the same rounds on the same day and shot them from a different Five Seven. I also wonder how much variance there is from lot to lot.
Still, even in your test it averaged right at 2000fps.
I so need to get a chrono. LOL.

SS192
Does anyone know of any chrono videos of SS192 besides Buffmans video?
I've seen it claimed at 2100fps, but Buffman got a 5 shot avg of 2000fps.
I'd also be interested in any white box 195 chrono tests anyone might know of.

Re: SS195...
From all the chrono readings ive seen from actual 5.7mm users, it seems like blue box SS195 is as powerful nowadays as SS192 and SS195 white box ever were, and is only just slightly less powerful than SS198 LE only ammo. I've seen these listings: 2100fps advertised, SS192 (anyone have actual chrono ...

Not to hijack thread but what is so special about these rounds? im new to the ammo and not familiar with the different rounds. SS198LE is FN's law enforcement duty round. I wonder what they're changing. I hope they're reducing the grip frame circumference. They could easily do that by removing the excessive checkering on the firearm. The trigger guard could use a little restyling too IMO. Yep, reduce the checkering and restyle the trigger guard, and you would have m...

I disagree. I have shot plenty of P7s. You disagree what? That M13s are very rare? They fetch in the vicinity of $1800-2000 regularly. Because they're rare. I had a small collection of them. And your chums on the HKPRO site wouldn't agree. Since you cited them. You had a small collection of what? P...

Re: Five Seven Barrel
There are already 2 companies handling stock length threaded barrels. I don't see any point to you getting into that unless you can smoke their price.
To me, the 2" threaded with a full contour compensator sounds the coolest. You would get a big bump in performance with a 3" barrel gain.

The P7 is a great pistol. I have a P7M13 on the way in January I am told. Have you ever held one before? They're very rare so most people, even P7 people, have never held one. The M13 has a grip like a 2x4. It loses all the wonderful ergonomic feel of the single stack P7 and P7M8. BTW, the pix in m...

I have owned many ported pistols, from mag-na-porting, to bushing style comps, to factory porting. I honestly dont feel bothered by the flash at all while shooting the gun, even at night. The problem isn't the thread length, it's that you have to use an adaptor, which increases the length of the whole set up.srt-4_jon wrote:for the purpose of a suppressor, the tornado tech threads are too long also, imo.

I would like nothing better than to experiment on compensator design for the 5.7. A "drop in" or "no fitting required" barrel with about one inch of exposed threading would be nice. 1" is too long for any comp or suppressor out there. .6" or .4" (for most small suppressors) is where you want it.
