Re: White House Petition - Gun Control

The petition is a waste of time. Lanza's despicable actions, together with the other recent shootings, have served as the catalyst that will initiate a series of knee-jerk reactions by self-serving liberals. Those actions will be widely supported in the general population because emotion always win...

Re: H.R.6685 -- Five-seveN Ban

Panic buying is happening around here, there is no ammo or mags to be had. Yup. Shelves at fleet farm and cabelas are bare. Mags are just not there. If you want some 12 gauge bird shot, you are fine. Anything else... good luck. No small rifle or large rifle primers, smokeless powders like Varget......

They say that people who own guns are just buying more because they are afraid of Obama.

Re: Christmas wish - No more AR15 Manufacturers, please, San

Daniel Defenses torture test was a joke. Sorry. It was an advertisement, not a true torture test. I would love to see a third party do a real torture test. It just doesn't exist because no gun company will give out a free gun without getting guarantees. Yep! You'd need somebody willing to pay *out ...

Re: SCAR vs HK 556a

They have no reason to lower the price of either SCAR variant as long as people are willing to pay the asking price. There isn't some objective authority out there assigning prices. You may think that the SCAR 16s is a $1400 gun (which it might be), but until the market drives the price down, and pe...

Re: Christmas wish - No more AR15 Manufacturers, please, San

Personally, I would love to see*more* companies making ARs and other 5.56 platforms. More companies to enter the arena of the free-market, and more to be in play to experience market pressures and respond to customer demand. Many would go out of business, but competition is good. And yes, I would lo...

Yup. Someone with a bolt action. 22 who knows how to use it is better off than a guy with an AR15 who doesn't have a clue.

Re: PS90 vs AR15

If you're not prepared to both bug IN and bug OUT, then you're not prepared. To the people who think they're going to fight-out every situation from ther home/fortress or "hortress", then you're limiting yourself to a very narrow number of potential situations. What are you going to do during a maj...

Re: 51st state?

You could replace the words "Cook County" or "Chicago" with just about any large urban area in an otherwise rural State. Minneapolis / St Paul are very much unlike the rest of Minnesota in the same regards. Upstate New Yorkers probably say the same thing about the Albany thru NYC/Long Island areas. ...

Re: Gander Mountain Price Check

IMO, Gander Mountain has some of the worst pricing - I don't know how they stay in business. $90 for a mag? Holy smeg! They are ripping people off big time. Last time I checked GM for FsN ammo it was $40/box of 197. You can still get 192? Nice! Actually $1,200 for a FsN is too high - shop around & ...

Re: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011

He would, and that is fine because his butt would be definitely kicked out of office. And Wolly, you are correct, but it says existing CCW licenses, so the states cannot just ban it in response. So basically, IL would be the only state you wouldn't have reciprocity for. Gotcha, but keep in mind tha...

Re: Thoughts & Prayers Needed Please

Lisa,

I know that words mean very little. I lost my old man, too. All that matters is your relationship, and the truth of what you know will come in the hereafter. Spend what time you can, say what you need to say, and let him go home if he has been called to do so.

All our love...

Re: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011

I don't think that is what will happen. I think it allows 50 state reciprocity. The states don't have 10 th amendment rights in this because this is protected by the second amendment and therefore defined as a federally protected right. Besides, I think the trend nationwide is pro-carry. This is go...

Re: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011

My take... The bill would basically enact reciprocity between all states that allow for concealed handgun carry already. States that do not allow concealed carry at all would not be affected. At present, I guess there are only two states that outright ban concealed carry (no provisions whatsoever fo...
