It's just going to take time.

Excellent tips and I didn't realize those threads were still cached. It might be worth some late night work to transfer some stuff.

I feel the same way. The hard copy of the information maybe lost, but feel free to ask questions... we can't really pull the "use the search feature" card right now

Just tried the Google search feature and since it's tied to the lost forum server, it comes up with the "forbidden page" prompt . . . so it doesn't seem to work just yet.

Will wait and try again later this evening. Maybe that's how I can help by being a tester. Let me know?!?

Good luck, man!

Hope this helps :)

That is great news. There was a wealth of history in the old forum. Returning that here is fantastic. Thanks for your efforts!

As for backups... I can't say much, we might be able to get the old site back, but no promises at this point, we can only hope.

Doesn't Kronos Management do backups?!?!?!
I have to agree with this sentiment, since I learned more about the technical merits of my favorite FN systems, its ammunition, accessories, tactics, and the regulations that affect our ownership rights here than anywhere else on the net. I won't be abandoning this site completely, since it's still one of my favorites . . . I'll just be making some adjustments.

Also hate to find out the hard way that this site was not backing up! Man, that's fundamental . . . or is that by design? Regardless, time to grab your bootstrap and if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know!

Please bear with us as we try to get the old data back. Google has a cache of the old website if you need data immediately, we will try and restore as much as possible.

To search for information on the old forum go to google and in the search field type:

Code: Select all

site:fivesevenforum.net SEARCHTERMS
Replace SEARCHTERMS with what you want to search for. When the results are displayed there will be a link under each result that says 'Cached', click it to view the cached page.

Past threads represented a wealth of knowlege on this (or, more accurately, the former FiveseveN) site and those threads made the former site extremely valuable for those looking for information and advice about the FiveseveN. Having lost all past posts greatly diminishes the value of this site.
