This video was posted up on a Florida fishing forum, and of course, I replied not legal (the poster was from FL).

Then some goof balls come aboard and state it is legal, with proper stamps.

From this point on, you can already guess I'm ignorant on the subject, hence my query.

My understanding the Glock 18 was never imported here, and the 17 would require a conversion. I'm assuming the would be a post ban weapon, and not really fall into that allowance of such in the category of "dealer sample" since the 18 was never imported, why would an LEO agency even consider it?

Then there is the legality of the ammo. at least here in FL, as no exploding ammo out of a pistol is allowed.

Am I right? or should I crawl back under my rock on this

there are no pre 86 glock 18s. there are post 86 18s and converted 17s for dealers. it isnt a matter of stamps, its a matter of having a 02 or 07 ffl.

it would be the same for a f/a p90. none before 86 so only posties out there.

And you can convert ANY Glock to a FA with the FSSG.

Its been around for 10 years and where the G18 has the selector switch on the side, this switch is on the rear and can be installed on any Glock. They market it to LE, but SOT's can order them as well.

Gotants -- You are correct, sir. FL state statute 790.31 specifically prohibits AP or exploding ammo for a handgun.

Mandatory Glock content: Fly is correct. Useful? Who knows. Lot's of lead going downrange for maybe a couple of heartbeats. YMMV.
