Re: New Ruger 5.7?
My Ruger 57 is not reliable with FN ammunition, only American Eagle. The magazines are highly variable and crude. Now my trigger shoe has started sticking and not allowing the gun to fire. The FN 5.7 pistol is far superior to the Ruger in every respect. Damn that just ruins the plans of picking up ...

Re: Best powder for 40-50 gr?
I’ll have to keep an eye on my scale & test it with known weights to be sure ... I’ll give it another try with 5.4 g true blue (that was the most accurate ) thanks guys

Re: Anyone have any data for CFE Pistol?
Just for the record, some of us did try CFE, and it worked, I can post my data if anyone is interested. Just for the second record, I spoke with Hodgdon about HS-7, and found that it was discontinued many years ago as it was expensive and inefficient to produce. Seems that we're the only ones that ...

I too use One Shot, never had a problem with any stuck cases on any caliber I've used it in.

Re: Favorite dies for the 57
I got my dies from midway...lyman for $60 and they work just fine, somewhere I read that you couldn't seat 40g v max's with the seater die but I don't have that problem, maybe that was from the first run of dies???

Re: couple newb question
I just started reloading the 5.7 pistol myself and got lyman dies from midway $60 or so and started with 40g hornady v max's, cci 400 small rifle primers, and ramshot true blue..found the sweet spot at 5.4g. Good luck finding yours, it's hella addicting! Thanks to the guys on here for there knowledge.
