If you like the OD color then buy it, or buy MkII and get it colored. Those are your two options. There is another topic that covers the MkII and it's "improvements". Although for some, such as myself, I don't believe in any of these improvements as necessary. Have run multiple FSNs thousands upon t...

Not from FNH, only from my and others' observations/measurements: Slide: USG was made from 2 welded pieces (3 if you count the end plate). That part is not in the schematic diagram for either 16S or 17S. As you've learned by now.
Someone put that in. Perhaps contact a gunsmith specializing in barrels and stocks to get an answer as to what that part is and why someone may have inserted it.

Beecher Tool - GLWT!
Someone out there has a cache of 9MM plinker.
Never invested in plinking ammo, only in SD, match, and hunting ammo. All of which gets cycled through.
Back on your topic - maybe ARMSLIST ad?

Re: Trade SS 192 for 9MM - Help Me
Well consider not using Gun Broker as a source for proper valuation. It isn't referred to as "Gouge Raper" and "Dream Breaker" for no reason ... ;) Proper valuation of SS192 is $35-40/box of 50 rounds. Anyone paying more than $50/box is either desperate, uninformed, or careless with money. LOL Actua...

Where is SS192 selling for $150-200/box? Holy Toledo whoever sold you that at that price made a killing!!!
You can buy it all day long at $55-65/box, and if you shop around, $35-40/box.

Not a T series variant of Ranger or PDX1.
They are Winchester's 240gr platinum tip hollow point (PTHP) bullets. They sport a notched reversed tapered jacket with a 2-part hollow point cavity. Great for black bear, boar, mule deer, etc..

Re: Flower identification
The "T" on the base of the bullet reminded me of the Trophy Bonded Tip, and I knew they were nickel plated. I haven't run across the Tactical Bonded Tip. Yeah the "T" is a unique identifier for sure. Putting the projectiles though auto glass while keeping centered is easy. These really stay true. I...

Federal Trophy Bonded Tip? Wow - very close! Not Federal TROPHY Bonded Tip, but it is Federal TACTICAL Bonded Tip. But I will give it to you because the bullet is almost identical, the only differences are the tips and the weight (Trophy is 165gr and Tactical is 168gr). Of course in a court of law ...

As a hint: the caliber is .308 and pay attention to the bottom of the bullet in the one snap as there is a very unique mark.

I think the difference is the TAC-XPD vs. VOR-TX ammo. Their personal defense ammo has the black coating applied while the handgun hunting ammo does not.Buffman wrote:TAC-XPD .380, 9mm, .40, .45

Barnes TAC-XP bullet. Could be from DoubleTap, Corbon, or the likes. It would not be from Barnes, as their own loadings have a black coating on the bullet I haven't seen the black coating on their 180gr .41magnum bullets, Buffman. I'll upload some snaps soon to show you. What caliber or which calib...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?
I've heard that 10mm ammo loaded to its potential is very similar to .41 mag. I've heard that I'm 6'2", 210lbs, and blonde hair. ;) ha ha So that is said in jest because that is a common source of discussion - 10mm and .41magnum. They are similar in as much as a 1971 LT-1 engine is very similar to ...

If you notice by my past purchases, practicality is not a prerequisite for me buying a firearm. I am kind of weird. I prefer to buy things that are unusual. The kind of guy that would choose a FiveseveN as his carry piece is not a practical man. lol I would buy a 500 because it is unusual, one of t...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?
Highly reliable, but for some reason I just have no desire to own them. My dad has a bunch of wheel guns. I always tell him to trade them in for something "cooler". I will say this, if you want a S&W 500, there is only one type of gun that can handle that round. I think if I were to buy a wheel gun...

Re: bought 5.7 ammo RECENTLY?
OMB most likely has a relationship with FnH. Part of that contract specifically states that sales of SS198 are restricted to LEO/MIL. You will find this often if you look. OMB does not want to jeopardize their relationship with FnH so it appears from your experience OMB is adhering to their terms.

Re: WTB: Looking for Elite Ammunition self-defense rounds.
Another issue is paying $200 on gunbroker and then seeing Elite make more ammo available for a fraction of the price shortly after winning my bid. Welcome to a free market where capitalism reigns. :) So you've to decide what you want and need and what it means to you. That way if you invest at $250...

Re: WTB: Looking for Elite Ammunition self-defense rounds.
The thing is expect to pay for what you want. Highly unlikely anyone is going to part with their Elite Ammo at the price they paid for it.
While the prices aren't commanding what they were back in January of this year they are still significantly more than the price Elite sells their loads at.
