so, looking at getting back into the 5.7 realm with my return; I notice that the new mkII, some say, will not fit the mki holsters...are the mags still all universal for the platform, or is there a change in those as well?

had anyone done any testing with the promag 30 round mags? any issues?

that was what my initial thought was...thanks for confirming. I suppose if I need more than 3 mags of 2o rounds each, I shouldn't be in a shootout to begin with

Well you're not suppossed to get into shootouts period but if you need more than 3 20s, hopefully you've already called for back up. Besides those mags are just to hold you until you get to your rifle (PS90) with mucho mags of 50rds.

Good video review on them by Jay. Pretty much covers it.
Even with the spring replaced, it had problems fitting correctly.

Seen this during the ban days with the Ruger Mini-14 mags. Factory mags were expensive then, so I tried to rebuild some of the cheap pre-ban 20 round aftermarket with good springs and followers. They worked but I always wondered when they wouldn't. Something just didn't "feel right" when compared to a factory mag.
