shoot out in post falls idaho with ps90 and ak 47

There was a high speed pursuit that led 5 different police agencies on a 40 mile chase that ended in a shoot out. When the suspect crashed into a barrier he started shooting at police officers. He was armed with an FN Ps90 with eotech sight and eotech 3x magnifier( from the pictures that were released) and an ak 47 sbr. The sheriff would not say which gun was used in the shoot out but he did say that no officers were shot (thank God) but what really made me made was during the interview they called the FN Ps90 a cop killer and that police were very lucky to escape unscaved from the incident. This shoot out took place last month investigation is on going but today they released the guns that were recovered. A friend from high school i know well was one of 12 officers involved in the shooting and is still on paid leave. I will share links later when i have more time. I just thought some guys on the forum might be intersted in this!!!!

I found that as well as several other articles that said he used an AK-47 and "another rifle." No mention of a PS-90 or cop killer.

Wheeler said Rael used at least two assault weapons during the gun battle - an AK-47 with a high-capacity drum magazine and a FN Herstal P90, which had a standard 50-round magazine. Both are legal semiautomatic weapons.

Wheeler referred to the P90 as a "cop-killer."

I really wish they wouldn't save the BG's life in situations like this, ought to be legal to let them bleed out. Good thing for the BG that those cops are more professional than I.

As for the "cop killer" comment, it's the same argument we've been hearing against the FsN & I have the same question - how many cops in America have been killed by the 5.7x28mm round? How many have been killed by a .22LR? Or a 9mm?
Just because it can fire an armor piercing bullet, doesn't make it a cop killer. What ammo was in it? I'd bet it wasn't the SS190...

Rael's brother, Andrew, was shot and killed during a shoot-out with police that followed a chase on Interstate 10 in the Phoenix area in March, The Associated Press reported. Andrew Rael immediately exited his vehicle and opened fire on authorities with a semiautomatic rifle before being killed by Arizona Department of Public Safety officers.

Sounds like the family may have issues, might wanna have some shrinks look into that.
