Cheap 50-round Mags from AR
Cheap 50-round Mags from AR
Bought 4 of these AR57 magazines, took them to the range and put 100-rounds through each one...including American Eagle and FNH ammo... Did not have any mis-feed problems...not sure if I am just lucky, or I got a really good deal ($6.40 each!!) at auction. Sometimes 'cheap' does not translate to poor design. Just got another 10 at $72 pp. The one thing missing is the slick round cap that comes with the FNH mags...but, I got a pack of 10 soft-plastic ends caps that fit them just fine for $5. A bonus for the soft-plastic caps is that you can fit on in the feed-slot to keep dust out when you don't have a mag fitted. Just my 2-cents worth.

At about 500 rounds the feed lip sections will start separating from the magazine body.

Nice video clip and photos!
I have only put 100-rounds through the 4 cheap clips so far and no problem... but, thank you for the comments about potential failure... usually you "get what you pay for!"... but, sometimes, you can also get a "really good bargain" that is (almost) as good as the factory-labeled ones. I guess time will be the judge!
For those interested in getting some, I just got 10-more on the Guns Auction web site for $74 postpaid... Just do a GOOGLE for AR57 50-round magazines, and you should get plenty of links to check out. The brand is AR FIVE SEVEN, and model is AR57-50 M-2. It states on the box and in advertising that they fit the AR57/FN-PS90/P90. The box is black with red logo and white lettering. The one thing that does not come with these is an end cap to cover the round part... I found someone on EBay selling soft-plastic end covers in packets of 10 for under $7.
Guess that's all I can contribute on this thread... :cya:

Stick to the factory FN mags. They will last longer.
