Cheaper than dirt has SS197 listed as 23.89 a box and appears to be in stock, if this helps anyone.

AIM surplus had SS197 listed for like 5 hours last week but before i could call them and tack it onto my Radway Green .308 order, it sold out. Nice to see more vendors in wider spread markets picking up the round...

I just bought 2000rds of SS197 from Wholesale Hunter for $643.20 (case price). Their site says they have 6 cases left at that price...

Anyone looking for the Wholesale Hunter deal, just FYI- it's listed under FEDERAL ammunition as the maker, not as FNH...

Black, can you report back when you get your case as to how your transaction went? That's a great price and i want to pick up a case, but i've never heard of that site before...

Thats true, I did notice it is listed as Federal but figured Id try it out (especially at that price). Ill definitely let you know how the transaction plays out. I wont be able to let you know what the actual rounds are like til April though because Im stationed in Germany and Im having them shipped to my parents house in Colorado so I can pick them up when I go home on leave.

As for the ammo, i'm just looking for something cheap i can burn through brass with and send to EA sometime down the road. So as long as your transaction is smooth- i'm GTG.

Bought 1k today,

Wholesale Hunter bunch very friendly... Should be here in 3-5 days... Will give back brief then(ref timely delivery, ammo condition, professionialism, etc etc)... They said they had 700 CASES STILL!!!!!!!!!! 699 now:).... That's 35,000 rds in stk still... No price break for large purchase, it's $16.95 for 50 or 5000...

Meant to post this earlier today.

Gulf States Distributors in Montgomery, AL has white box SS195 and 197 for $19.95 out the door. Law enforcement / military ID required, or you have to sign up to be in the club or whatever if you're a civilian (it's free).

Don't know why you would need anything else besides ss197 and EA. ss197 is probably the most accurate non-SD round, and if you want SD, you have EA.

Sure, your options are not great, but if you already have the greatest options... :cya:

At this point in time, I doubt we'll see anyone new any time soon. Seems that most manufactures are pretty much nailed to the wall trying to keep up with making all of the common calibers.

yeah there are very few options but the ammo from fn/fiochii seems to be quality stuff.

It's up to $18.57 a box now, but still better than other places I saw. I needed a few boxes so I would have something to shoot prior to Memorial Day.
