Help with powder choices for 55 FMJ

I have the following powders on the shelf and would be grateful for a powder choice recommendation for 55 FMJs. I'm looking for a plinker, but want some velocity as well.

I have used both True blue and Longshot on your list. With both I was able to push it to 1700+fps.

Catalina will you be using this load in the PS90 or FSN? Longshot seems to do well in both and true blue I found to work poorly in PS90 but excellent in the Pistol.

Thanks bruteandbear, I'll be loading for the FSN. I was not impressed with the TB for the heavy bullet. Compared to 3N37, similar velocities with the same powder charge, but much more recoil. I'll try the Longshot and see how it feels

For this cartridge what does it like, fast powder heavy bullet, or visa versa?

My personal favorite for heavy bullets is VVN105. It's clean burning and has a mild kick compared to True blue and Longshot. Blue dot also works but is very dirty compared to other powders imo.

I might give the old 55 grainers a try. What was your starting point for N105? I've got some around. I want fast bullets.

I started at 6.0gr and worked up to 7.5gr. My favorite 55gr plinking load is 7.0gr at 1690fps.

Of those, True Blue, Longshot, HS6 look to be your best choices.

Here's a load for a 50r bullet using VVN105

50gr Combined Technology Silvertip Trim: 1.135" OAL" 1.588" Virgin SS197 brass/primer
7.7gr: 1678fps
7.8gr: 1698fps
