I was able to get a new FNS-40 with (3) 14 round mags and night sights for a stupid price from Palmetto State Armory. Looks like they still have them but don't expect them to last long. The family resemblance to my FiveSeven was immediately apparent when looking at them side by side or holding them.

I took it home and promptly put over 100 rounds through it with zero problems. I'm already liking it much better than the G19 (long gone) and G23 (also sold). I've always liked Glocks but never was crazy about either one of those models which are comparable in size and capacity. Contrary to some reports I read online about accuracy, the FNS-40 is a great shooter and the trigger isn't bad at all out of the box. It was right on for me. At 15-30 yards I was able to stay on an 8 1/2" x 11" target and tore a very ragged hole in the bullseye even with quickly aimed follow up shots. I'm more convinced than ever that FN makes some great stuff and this one fits a spot I have been looking to fill for some time.

Bonus - I bought a Safariland 578GLS holster and it fits my Five Seven too.

Saw that listed as the deal of the day the other day. I thought that it was a great deal, but did not really want to venture into starting with another hand gun caliber.

I picked up 2 of those at that price. I'll probably use the one for range time or even the occasional carry weapon. I carry a FNS9 now and love every second of it.

I have shot them quite a bit at my range near me and they are fantastic. That is a great price, I just wish it was in 9 though.
