5.7x28 case gauge

Post by JoJo » 27 Feb 2012, 08:05

I know that delivery is stalled while you wait on the engraving contractor to follow through. In the meantime, can I buy one without the engraving?
If so, I need to order some other items at the same time.

Thanks

Anyone know when the new run of 5.7 case guages will be available for sale?

Call me cheap because I am but $14.16 to ship a one ounce, non ammunition object, seems a little silly and a lot excessive.....

It is, but if you order it with ammo or other equipment (can always use back up springs & feed lip protectors) it spreads out the cost a little :?:

I don't know how many times I have explained the shipping....

We DO NOT have any control over the shipping charges as we are a Small Company and DO NOT get the HUGE Shipping Discounts the BIG Companies like Amazon do.

Don't trust the USPS as they lose stuff and take 6 months to "investigate" before refunding us.

You should explain the shipping as many times as necessary to make the sale. That is what makes small business grow. Your explanation is good enough for me, and has made the difference between an empty cart and a completed sale. :thumb:

Sometimes us cheap guys need a gentle nudge and having an alternative communication channel sure helps, thanks.

The USPS has cost us 7 grand + is lost shipments. Plus pissed off customers who did not get their stuff.

EA,
It is posted that you only ship FedEx or UPS but it is not posted as to why unless someone uses the search function and you know how difficult & complicated that is.

If done right, you could do it as an FAQ on the EA shipping page, and paint the USPS as a poster child for the problems that this country is facing.

Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative,

people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

There is an FAQ Page not to mention it's stated on our home page we ONLY ship via FedEx & UPS and when checking out.

I think they meant including some details as to why.

If I would of seen a simple statement saying something to the effect of " Due to USPS losing shipments and not meeting EA standards of quality, we ONLY ship via FedEx & UPS."

I would never of questioned this in the first place. In this crappy economy whereas some companies are squeezing customers for every cent possible, as a consumer, you have to ask questions. Once I found out that the motive was quality of service versus profit, I had no problem completing my sale. I concur that an updated FAQ may clarify this for the consumer and give the staff a lot less headaches and maybe increased sales.

Looking forward to doing more business with your company.

There are go/no go gauges available at Elite Ammunition. I am sure they will go fast.

Jay -

Are you all having another batch of Go/No Go gauges manufactured? If so, do you have an ETA?

Thanks!

Hmmm. "The product you selected is currently unavailable."
As Jay asked, do you have an ETA? (Not being pushy, just wondering approximately when I should check back on your web site to try to order one)

Thanks, Jay.

Hopefully when these become available the notice will be in the E-mail newsletter or posted here?

Are you looking at within 3 months or further out this Summer, if you even know from your supplier?

I just received my case gage today. They had to reship it because Fedex lost the first one

I recently purchased and received the 5.7x28 gauge. I tested the gauge with some FNH SS197SR and American Eagle 5.7x28. The FNH round fit perfectly. The American Eagle did not. I didn’t mic the AE round but to my eye I noticed the case shoulder sits further forward than the FNH round. I’ve used both in my 5.7 pistol with no negative results. However I recently purchased a PS90 and wondered if the AE round would be a problem in the PS90. Lastly, I’m starting to reload this round, 5.7x28 using Hornady dies and single stage press. I intend to set the die to produce a FNH round. I guess my question is that Ive used other similar gauges for 30.30, 35 rem, .223 and have never noticed this variance in case shoulder by manufacturer. Is there a reason for the AE round variance? And, is it safe to use in the PS90?
