Question for everyone that is on this post, I had sent the money to Romer522 for the remaining rounds he has for sale a few weeks ago and now he is not returning my emails. Did anyone else get their ammo?

I ven called him and he said he would send it ASAP. Now 4 days later still no ammo and no email response.

Romer is still on the forum, he posted a few days ago in the members section. Other than that, I cannot comment on the business transactions, I have never done business with him. Hope your deal works out! :cya:

I have never had an issue with him. He is a longtime forum member. It would surprise me if he wasn't getting back to you, unless he had a very good reason. Perhaps some of the forum mods can get a hold of him.

This is a warning to anyone who purchased this ammo.

I finally had a chance to take it to the range and my FN FiveseveN blew up on the fifth or sixth round.

I am sending my pistol back to FN to see what they can recover and rebuild, but be advised the rep I spoke with told me he "was getting tired of hearing" about these failures involving Elite Ammunition products.

Do you have video of the incident? Or at least photos of the firearm and ammo?

Also, can you provide more detail to the "my FN FiveseveN blew up" - catastrophic failure? Magazine blew out? Bulged barrel?

Video? Are you kidding?

I can take a picture of the pistol, though I'm not sure how to upload it.

Basically, the side around the ejection port blew out and the slide semi-separated from the frame.

The ammunition was EA S4 ammo I purchased on this thread.

Did you want a lot number?

I didn't catch the rep's name.

I was just happy they would repair or replace (at a reduced fee) my thousand dollar pistol.

Funny how you never contacted me until you out this post up and responded to me. Also you don't know the name of the person your sending your gun to at FNH?

Pics are easy to post through photobucket. Also you don't know the lot number? It's on the container.

Why should I contact you, you're not the guy I bought the ammo from. And when do you suggest I tell the board where I purchased the product. Is the day after it happened not fast enough?

How much attention do you want me to pay to ancillary details while if find out if my thousand dollar pistol is a complete wash or not?

According to the FAQ, it requires some sort of administrator permission to post directly to the board. As for photo bucket, I only have the barest knowledge of the thing beside its name and basic function.

Do you know of any particular reason I should jump through hoops to prove to you my pistol blew up in my hand yesterday?

Received woahhs FsN today. I made a video for him of the inspection.

The failure was the extractor. No neck separation or out of battery discharge. As happened a few times in the past with new FsN's the extractor failed taking the slide cover with it.

Woahhs FsN was repaired and test fired within minutes.

The extractor was not recovered but if it was I bet it looked like this one.

I will make the vid inspection public after Woahhs has had a chance to review and with his approval.

No As you can see buy little tabs the front one shear's off. Short of testing until it breaks there is not you can do. Keeping your chamber clean could not hurt.

Maybe you should consider offering a better quality extractor! I would buy one to ensure that my guns are more dependable.

I suppose that would sell but in reality... how many thousands of people have sent how many thousands of rounds downrange without ever experiencing a malfunction, much less a catastrophic one.

Pictures of damaged weapons and especially mangled hands after a KB are scary, buttttt....

When you figure in the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of successful rounds fired, we realize that the odds of a KB are ridiculously small. then figure in that many (most?) of the KBs are likely caused by unsafe reloads... you probably have a btter chance of winning the lottery than experiencing a KB.

Just my $0.02 with regard to perspective.

I'd like to know about all these supposed "complaints" to FN regarding "failures" using EA's ammo, but yet the numerous times I've emailed in regards to 5.7x28mm ammunition, it always falls on deaf ears. To Further all of FN's customer service was replaced by Browning, and they would have no prior knowledge to 5.7 firearms, which has shown to be evident in threads regarding CS

I wold love nothing more then a whole product line of heavy duty heat treated CNC internals for the FsN.

I have thought about it starting with the hammer and sear. Then the trigger bar which also acts the disconnect. I would make the hump on the bar much longer making it much harder to fire OOB.

When we start making our own aluminum frame I will need higher quality parts anyway.

Pete: I understand you are upset about the situation as a whole, but with regards to ammunition being unreliable: to be honest, no ammunition on earth is 100% reliable. for instance, ss197LF has been known to suffer from failure to feeds, and failure to fires from time to time, and factory ammunition is supposed to be the most "reliable".
